On Thursday, 6 August 2015, at 11AM Eastern Time (Washington, DC), KEI will host a seminar on drug pricing featuring Professor Aidan Hollis, the Vice-President and a Director of Incentives for Global Health and economics professor at the University of Calgary.

The seminar will take place at the KEI office in Dupont Circle, and up to 10 persons can be participate remotely, via a video Google Hangout link. There is also an option to participate via telephone. If there is a capacity issue for the remote participation by video, we will give priority to academics, government officials, NGOs working on drug pricing, and third party payers.

After the seminar, the discussion will be posted online via YouTube and will be available to the public for research and reference purposes.

Professor Hollis will begin with a short presentation of his recent paper that argues for consideration of average R&D costs in drug price negotiation, for drugs with very high ICERs and where the company justifies high prices with high costs.

If you would like to participate, either through GoogleHangouts or in persion at our DC office, please fill out this Google Poll (http://goo.gl/forms/4cNsdOAw1G). Please contact Elizabeth Rajasingh via elizabeth.rajasingh[at]keionline.org with any additional questions. She will send out additional information regarding the seminar and instructions about joining the seminar on the morning of the event.
