Main Areas of Work

The main areas of work for KEI are described in more detail in the linked pages that are given below, in our sections organized by the fora of knowledge governance negotiations, or by using the KEI web page search engine. It is pretty much impossible to create a single unified structure that works for everything, so the web page search engine will be your friend, if you know what you are looking for.

Historically, most of KEI’s work has been divided into two general areas – topics relating to innovation and access to medical technologies (I+A), and those relating to more general topics of access to knowledge (A2K). Over time, KEI’s work has branched into several other areas, such as those that relate to the economic and policy models to enhance the supply of creativity and innovation as a public good.
