DRAGONS’ LAIR
Thursday, 12 November 2020 – 15:00 CET, 14:00 UTC

On Thursday, 12 November 2020 from 14h00 UTC to 15h30 UTC, Knowledge Ecology International (KEI) invites you to Dragons’ Lair – a pitch for WIPO’s work program for the Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR). The goals are to inform WIPO delegates of some of the issues that could be discussed in the august forum of the WIPO SCCR in a quick and lively manner. To register, please contact thiru [at] keionline.org

The rules, if not well known, are quite simple and akin to the Dragons’ Den, the Shark Tank, the Owls’ Nest, different names for similar shows where entrepreneurs make pitches to investors.

A select pool of judges will serve on a panel to decide the attractiveness and feasibility of advocates’ proposals for the work program of the WIPO Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR) for the next biennium (2021-2022). Advocates will get three minutes each to pitch their ideas. After the pitches, we will have a lightning round where every judge will have up to one minute each to ask questions of any participant. The judges will then inform the audience on their votes for the “winning” proposal.
